Science is the basis for all the  branches of Engineering Discipline.The department aims at providing competitive quality education to students so as to lay basic profound foundation in all the branches of Engineering.

About Science and Humanities
The Department of Science and Humanities came into existence since the inception of KSSEM in 2010. The Department comprises of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities.

The motto of the Department is to provide high quality education to students with the assistance of well-qualified, dedicated and highly motivated faculty members. Our faculty’s research expertise includes all frontier areas in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. We impart the best teaching methodologies which prepares competent professionals able to independently apply knowledge to become a successful engineer.

Research Activities : The academic plethora of the department is supported by three doctorates, few are about to complete Ph.D., and others are aggressive to register for Ph.D. The faculty members are involving in academic & research activities; they are publishing their research work in reputed & referred journals.The department has also applied for research center for VTU.

VTU sponsored project :  “Development of Bio-Fuel Combustor” Grant’s Sponsored by VTU research grants scheme with a grant of Rs6.25 Lakhs.   Principal Investigator-Dr.S.N.Sridhara, Co-Investigator-Dr.Divakara.T.R.

Laboratories :

  • Engineering Physics Laboratory
  • Engineering Chemistry Laboratory
  • Language Laboratory

These laboratories were setup since the inception of the institute as per the academic standards and requirements of Visvesvaraya Technological University.
