Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) has been at the forefront of computing since September, 2010. The CSE Department is recognized by AICTE and affiliated to VTU with the current intake of 120. The CSE Department has highly qualified faculties and has excellent state of the art infrastructure in both hardware and software resources. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is committed to develop the IT leaders of tomorrow.The Department is dedicated to education, research and overall excellence. The CSE Department continues to recruit faculty members with rich experience in academia, industry and research, and support superior research facilities. Faculty use state-of-art teaching aids to ensure better delivery of the content and facilitate greater student interaction. The staff of CSE department takes personal care of the students in counseling them about their progress in the subjects. Parents are made aware of their wards about their attendance, studies, behavior and attitude towards learning. Industry Visits and guest lectures have also been organized that have become the platform to gain the knowledge.
Computer Science is about understanding computer systems and networks at a deep level.
Computers and the programs they run are among the most complex products ever created; designing and using them effectively presents immense challenges.
The department offers BE (CSE) and M.Tech (CSE). The aim of the department is to provide high quality education along with training the students with all the new advancements in the computers field.
The department places prominence on all the important aspects of computers such as Data Structures, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Computer Networks, Compiler Design, Operating Systems, System Software, Database Management Systems, Computer Graphics and Visualization, Software Architecture, Cloud Computing, and many more.
We also take initiative to improve the soft skills, analytical capabilities and verbal communication of the students so that they can face the global competition.
Our faculty members aim at delivering top class education blending their rich research experience with classroom teaching.
The department motivates the staff members to pursue higher studies and encourage them to attend conferences, workshops and publish papers in national / international conferences/journals. The department of CSE provides platform for the students to achieve their career goals and it is a pleasure to be the head of CSE department.

Computer Science & Engineering Research and Development Center is established in the year 2014-15. The Management of the institution has supported financially to start the research activities. R&D is established to motivate Faculty and students to participate in various technical events such as conferences, technical quizzes and workshops to enhance their technical and soft skills. The CSE Department R & D center has 1 Doctorate guiding students towards Ph.D. in various areas. There are 03 research scholars pursuing their research in this center. We have dedicated R & D LAB, IEEE Access and Library facilities for all research scholars and research students. R & D Center has well qualified and experienced team of faculties and students involved in various research activities. The knowledge is shared and transfered to the industry through teaching, paper publications, collaboration, entrepreneurship, etc. By integrating engineering disciplines into one R&D department, we can address major challenges and develop complete solutions, serving as an international hub for engineering excellence. Faculty and students are involved in research activities and setup CLOUD in the R&D centre.

Most humbly, my name is Kruthika B and I am a passed-out student of the 2022 batch of Computer Science and Engineering branch of K S School of Engineering and Management. I am glad to provide you with my feedback about the college. My overall experience to date has been amazing, and the college is having an amazing infrastructure and environment. The college provides excellent placement opportunities. I have been placed in 9 companies through the placement drives conducted by our college (Expleo, Valenta, Infosys, Giant Eagle, 6D Technologies, Capgemini). I have been also placed at Daimler (DTICI) with a package of 10LPA. Our college has provided me with a number of opportunities to grow and explore my skills. The emphasis on sports along with education always helped me a lot. I have always found a positive and healthy environment and the teachers are highly supportive and friendly. Most of my doubts were cleared after the classes were over. I am highly thankful to you for providing me with an opportunity to be a part of our college. It has added a number of values to my life.

Firstly I would like to thank editorial team for giving me this opportunity. When I first stepped into KSSEM college I never expected my life to take such a wonderful phase! Initially, when I was in first year, i thought my engineering life would be study oriented, but as I entered COMPUTER SCIENCE branch it all changed !! Teachers were so experienced and knowledgeable that they not only helped me to excel in academics but in building my character.They were very much supportive in all ways. Apart from classroom studies,KSSEM highly encourages students to take up extra - curricular activities, the most memorable will be the college fest AAROHANA 2022. I am greatful to have such an opportunity, this helped me immensely gain knowledge and also made me a betterment engineer. I would like to thank each and every member of our department and Management for their support and encouragement.
Hi, I am Deepak T N a pass out of 2022 batch from KSSEM and currently placed in GharOffice, Nsoft, Diagonal.ai, Gyansys. Firstly the college has a very supportive teacher who understands students needs and try their most not to burden students. Though the college is not heard by most of people. It offers great facility there has been more than 400+ placement conducted. I can assure 100% that the demand for this college is going to reach such a height where it might get difficult to get seats for this college in future. I?m happy to be a part of this family
The atmosphere is conducive to creative and productive learning. The college really cares about its members. It is a place of civility, friendship and good cheer. Although many students go to library, it is a place of silence. There are different catalogues of books. Science books are catalogued separately. Canteen is the most crowded place in college, canteen contractor is popular with the students. Our college has good furniture. Our college canteen is a busy center of student activities. In the canteen we get sweets, fast food, cold drinks etc.

My experience in college has been one of the richest experiences of my professional life. This college has given me hope about what higher education can do, it encourages individuality and conductivity. Kssem has one of the best labs, facilities, library, campus, faculty, staffs and canteen. The college library has variety of books on different domains and is easy to access with the help of staff who are more than ready to help. The faculty are very welcoming and friendly going with students. The last fest Aarohana was from 20th to 24th of June 2022 which is the best experience I had in this college. Personally to me memories of Aarohana is the best of all where I enjoyed the most after academics. I would say experiences i had in kssem is one of the best and will always be memorable.
Going into college, my only goal was to graduate with an engineering degree. But, looking back on the last four years, KSSEM has played an integral part in my development as a capable software engineer. The university has constantly provided me with good opportunities and resources to improve myself. The faculty at Computer Science Engineering is second to none. They are proficient, accessible, and patient. My bachelor's degree at KSSEM majoring in Software Technology has been eye-opening. The placement team here works hard to bring in several core and big companies; there are placement drives happening almost every day. The workshops and hackathons conducted by the various teams here at the institution helped me get a good overview of what is needed to work in a collaborative and professional environment. I am very grateful to them for assisting me in obtaining an internship at Celstream Technologies as an Interim Engineering Intern.

There are many activities performed throughout the year to make sure we are enjoying ourselves. The concept of Aarohana makes sure we are thoroughly entertained. We have various facilities for playing sports and are promptly encouraged to do so. We have great equipments in our labs to make sure we learn the best. We can participate in interdepartmental projects such as MAOSPWAT which helps us get a deeper knowledge learning along with understanding the practical application of it. I am A Harika, a pass out in computer science and engineering of batch 2022 and currently placed in Expleo solutions. It gives me great pleasure to say with pride that I have been graduated from K S School of Engineering and Management through the guidance of VTU. Their excellent faculties motivated me towards reaching higher goals and acquiring knowledge on new technologies. Teachers working round the clock in providing guidance at every step in my four years has helped me to grow and improve in various aspects of my career. The college also provides various facilities like labs with modern equipment, library, hostel, playground, basketball court and indoor stadium. I would like to appreciate the beautiful infrastructure and kind of place where it is located, itis very peaceful and quiet. Faculty and students organize annual sports and cultural events ?AROHANA?. There are really good placement opportunities combined with many internship programs and seminars by expertise which are organized by training and placement department. Placement department starts to train the students from very first year which makes the students confident to attend the placements. Overall, I will always cherish the time I have spent at KSSEM.

The Board for IT Education Standards is a non-profit Society set up by the Karnataka Government, in association with IT industries and educational institutions, in order to enhance the quality of IT education and help build quality manpower for the IT industry. The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading National Professional non-profit making Society for the Technical Education System. The institute established KSSEM-ISTE Student Chapter in March 2014. Various events such as student Convention, Faculty convention, Seminars, Guest Lectures are conducted under ISTE Chapter.
The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI] is a professional body to promote and advance the engineering and technology. It was established in 1920.The institute established IEI Institute Life membership in Dec 2014. The department conduct higher studies awareness program in order to motivate the students to do higher studies both within the country and abroad. The department in association with training and placement department helps students in understanding the importance of attempting various competitive exams like GATE, IELTS, GRE, TOEFL etc.

In today's world, Millennials are embracing digital technology at a rapid pace and there is an ever-growing need of engineering graduates to be well versed with digital technology adopted by new and upcoming businesses. There is equal emphasis by businesses to cater to universal human values and same is incorporated as part of National Education Policy. The course of computer science and business systems is designed to train the engineering graduates meeting these needs. This course represents amalgamation of two branches, namely, a) computer science, and b) Business management.
The core focus of this course will entail
a) Assimilation of emerging and contemporary technology,
b) familiarization of common business practices, and
c) Empathy, Ethics and universal human values.
Every business segment is critically dependent upon use of computer systems for all of its operations and decision making. This course aims at familiarizing computer engineering graduates with business terminologies so that they can fit into any business operations. A business often requires quick and immediate analysis which is accomplished with by scripting languages with basic knowledge of programming skills using state of the art technologies.
This course gives an exposure to business communication, research methodologies, human resource management, operations research, operations management etc. that are very important in running any business organization. Graduates having this degree could pursue a post graduate program either in computer science or in business administration. These graduates would be apt to take up the critical roles in all those business organizations that are driven by Business software systems, use of Cloud Computing, Machine Learning and Analytics.
